How does K Health treat anxiety and depression?
We start with a free online assessment to make sure our Mental Health program is a good fit for you. Then, you'll connect with a licensed clinician who can diagnose your condition and provide a comprehensive treatment plan that may include some combination of self-guided mental health resources, medications, and/or a referral to a therapist or psychiatrist.
From then on, you'll check in monthly for a brief consultation with a clinician to receive your refill. We'll send you a text to remind you when it's time to check in.
What's included in the Mental Health program?
Our Mental Health program is part of the K Health membership and includes nearly everything K Health offers for $49/month.
With this membership you'll get:
- Unlimited visits to consult with a clinician about your anxiety and/or depression
- Regular check-ins to ensure long-term results
- If prescribed, anxiety or depression medication shipped to your door starting at $12/month more (plus free shipping)

See Terms of Service.
Who’s eligible to receive Mental Health treatment from K Health?
Everyone has access to our free assessment to see if virtual anxiety and depression treatment could be a good fit for you. Whether you’re a good candidate for our program or not, you can talk to a clinician to figure out the best path to treatment, but the clinician may decide it's safer for you to be treated in person.
Also, please note that our Mental Health program is only available for adults ages 18-65.
Is using K Health a safe way to manage my mental health?
While there's always some risk in mental health treatment, we believe the risk of not managing your mental health is far greater. At K Health, your clinician tailors your treatment to you based on your symptoms, your needs, your experiences, and your preferences.
We know medication doesn't impact everyone the same way, which is why we insist on consistent follow-ups. For safety, we don't treat people with severe depression or other high-risk conditions remotely.
Can you get anxiety and depression medication online?
Yes! K Health offers anxiety and depression medication prescriptions online as part of the K Health Mental Health membership for just $49/month.
Complete our online assessment and chat with a clinician to get diagnosed and prescribed medication if appropriate. You'll then receive regular check-ins to make sure your treatment plan is working for you. Medication can be filled at your local pharmacy or shipped to you directly from K Health for $12/month.
Which medications do you prescribe?
While clinicians practicing on the K Health platform can prescribe most medications, we always start with those that are considered the safest first-line treatments for anxiety and depression. You can learn more about what we treat and what prescriptions we provide in our Medical Policies.
Clinicians typically prescribe the lowest dose that's medically appropriate to start and adjust slowly as required. Along with our bi-weekly follow-ups, this process can help you avoid side effects outright or catch them before they become serious.
Can online doctors prescribe Xanax?
No, K Health-affiliated clinicians can't prescribe Xanax or any other controlled substance for anxiety treatment.
However, there are prescription alternatives to treat anxiety that they can prescribe. You can enroll in our Mental Health program for just $49/month and chat with a clinician to find a treatment plan that's right for you.
How much does K Health cost?
If you want to chat with a doctor, you can either pay for a one-time virtual visit, which costs $39 and includes 72 hours of follow-up chats, or you can purchase a membership.
